Boutique Nanny Placement
Childcare You've Vetted,
From People Who Get It
Why We Exist
Because finding someone to trust with your children should feel like a warm introduction, not a job posting.
Parents today are navigating an impossible paradox: they need reliable, qualified childcare — and they need it fast. The big platforms hand over a list of profiles and call it "vetting." But a checkbox and a self-reported background check are not the same as someone who has actually sat across from a caregiver, read their energy, heard their story, and thought carefully about whether they belong with your family.
Bloom Nanny Agency was built to fill that gap. We're not a database. We're not a staffing portal. We're a boutique placement service that does the careful, human work of finding, evaluating, and matching exceptional childcare professionals — so that when your nanny walks through the door for the first time, you feel relieved rather than anxious.
We take on a small number of families at a time, because real matching takes real attention. Every family we work with gets a dedicated advisor who listens first, matches thoughtfully, and stays available long after placement day.
The families who come to Bloom aren't looking for a caregiver on a list.
They're looking for someone they can actually trust — and they want us in their corner while they find them.
How We Work
Four commitments that guide every placement we make
Human before algorithmic
Every placement begins with a real conversation — about your household, your children, your schedule, and what kind of person would actually thrive in your home. No form can capture what a phone call can.
Vetting that goes all the way through
We conduct in-depth interviews, call every reference personally, run thorough background checks, and verify credentials — not as a formality, but because your family's safety is the whole point.
Matching, not just placing
A great nanny for one family can be wrong for another. We think carefully about personality fit, parenting philosophy, schedule, and the specific needs of your children at their current ages and stages.
Present after placement day
The relationship doesn't end when the nanny starts. We stay in contact with both families and nannies during the transition, ready to help if anything needs adjusting.
The Bloom Process
How we actually make the match
Careful, human, unhurried. This is what it looks like when a real person is in your corner.
We listen to your family first
Every engagement starts with a detailed intake conversation — a relaxed, unhurried call where we learn about your household, your children's personalities and needs, your work schedules, your values, and what you've found lacking before. We ask questions that databases never think to ask.
We find and vet the right candidates
Based on your specific criteria, we draw from our cultivated pool of experienced childcare professionals and actively recruit when your needs call for it. Every candidate undergoes our full vetting process: an in-depth personal interview, reference calls we conduct ourselves, thorough background screening, and credential verification.
We make a thoughtful match, then stand behind it
We present you with a small, carefully selected shortlist of candidates we genuinely believe could be exceptional for your family. We facilitate the introductions, support your interview process, and stay available throughout your decision. Once your nanny starts, we remain a resource for both sides during the settling-in period.
What's Included
Everything that comes with a Bloom placement
No hidden steps, no add-ons. This is the full scope of what we do on your behalf.
In-depth family intake call
A dedicated consultation to understand your household, your children, and exactly what you need — before we search for a single candidate.
Personal candidate interviews
We meet every candidate face-to-face (or by video) and assess them against your specific family profile, not a generic rubric.
Reference calls — from us, not you
We personally call and speak with prior employers and professional references. You get our honest synthesis, not a stack of contact numbers.
Comprehensive background check
Criminal history, identity verification, driving record where relevant — conducted through a professional screening provider.
Curated shortlist presentation
A small selection of genuinely compatible candidates — with our written notes on why each one stood out for your family specifically.
Interview facilitation and support
We help you prepare, suggest questions that surface what matters, and debrief with you after you've met your candidates.
Trial period guidance
Practical advice on structuring the first days and weeks so both your family and your new nanny can settle in with confidence.
Post-placement check-ins
We stay in touch after placement begins — available to both family and nanny if questions or adjustments arise during the transition.
Questions We Hear Often
Honest answers to the questions families actually ask
How is Bloom different from Care.com or another large platform?
Platforms give you access to a searchable database and leave the vetting entirely to you. We do the vetting ourselves — personal interviews, reference calls we make, and background checks we commission — and then hand you a small shortlist of candidates we have already evaluated against your specific family's needs. You are not browsing; you are choosing from a curated set.
How long does the placement process take?
Every search is different, and we would rather be honest with you about realistic timelines than promise a number we cannot guarantee. After your intake call, we will give you a candid assessment based on your criteria and our current pool. Specialized requirements (specific languages, special needs experience, unusual schedules) naturally take longer to fill well.
What does your vetting process actually involve?
Every candidate we seriously consider goes through an in-depth personal interview with our team, a call to each professional and personal reference, a comprehensive background check (criminal history, identity verification, and driving record where applicable), and verification of any credentials or certifications they hold. We document our findings and share a written summary with every family.
What happens if the placement does not work out?
We stay involved during the settling-in period precisely to catch problems early and address them directly. If a placement genuinely is not working despite those efforts, we will work with you on next steps. We will discuss the specifics of our replacement policy with you during your intake conversation.
Do you place full-time nannies only, or also part-time and temporary?
We place nannies across a range of schedules — full-time, part-time, and temporary arrangements. What matters to us is that the fit is right for both the family and the nanny, regardless of hours.
Do you work with families outside major metro areas?
Our primary focus is US metro and suburban areas. If you are in a more rural location, reach out and tell us where you are — we will give you an honest answer about whether we can serve your area well rather than overpromising.
Still have questions?
We are happy to talk through your specific situation before you commit to anything.
